About Me

Marisa: New York, NY, United States; Marisa f. Ballaro is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) with an interest in blending athletic training principles and the needs of dancers. She is an arts educator, performer, and choreographer based in NYC and a summa cum laude graduate of SUNY Brockport. She recently launched the inaugural season of her dance company, Ballaro Dance, and performs with Dancing Legacy, the ensemble of the American Dance Legacy Initiative. Currently, Marisa is blending NASM's stabilization, strength and power goals along with the needs of dancers to create a dance conditioning program that focuses in assesment, core stabilization, balance training, developing muscular strength, and increasing speed, agility and quickness. She believes that everyone has the power to make a positive lifestyle change by grabbing their sneaks!
